How we can learn from our mistakes

Laura Mudd
As leaders we often don’t like to admit that we make mistakes, but we all do. If we can learn from them, then it benefits us and those we lead. I would like to share three lessons I’ve learned from making mistakes.

Growing in self awareness, owning up to failure and being able to move on

Matt Rawlins

“People don’t learn from experience, they learn from reflecting on experience.” John Dewey. I look at reflecting on painful experiences through the lens of humility.

Monthly Articles

Thought provoking articles from YWAM leaders

Each month we publish two articles relating to the current theme.  These offer you a starting point for exploring each relevant topic from the perspective of a YWAM leader.

At the end of a year it’s always helpful as an individual, couple or team to have some tools for debriefing. Here are 6 tools that you can enjoy.

Miranda invites us to imagine ways in which self-reflection might help us to better navigate complex relational dynamics. She describes a prayer practice through which we can fine tune awareness of our growing edges, and consciously open to God’s work in our lives.

The Art of Reflection & Self Awareness

This month, Belinda led the discussion with Maarit Eronen from YWAM Finland, Sven Stuhrmann from YWAM Germany and Tim Bailey from YWAM Romania on the Art of Reflection and Self Leadership.

Become Leaders With Impact

YWAM Europe is contending for unity and effectiveness as a Missions Movement within our continent.

This website seeks to distill the hard won experience, wisdom, successes and failures of leaders from YWAM’s 6 European areas. Take a look at the map to see how we arrange ourselves.

It represents a collaboration of people with service across 8 decades who recognise the power of the generations working together in a servant hearted fashion.

We believe that if we work in unity together then our lives will be spent well – that is, for the benefit and glory of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom on Earth.
