Ordering Your Private World

Gordon MacDonald (Chicago, Illinois: Moody Press 1984)

Gordon MacDonald has been a pastor for over 40 years, and served as President for InterVarsity USA. Through this book he explains the inner life in practical ways and explains the necessity for this: “Because I am convinced that the inner world of the spiritual must govern the outer world of activity”. Where people live with disorder within, there is anxiety and little growth, but in this little book, he explains how to order your private world so that it is constantly realigned and regulated – leading to outer world order as well. This is the kind of book that you re-read and remind yourself of the deep truths within. Even Billy Graham said about it “It struck me right between the eyes with conviction and I wish that I had read it many years ago.”
